Naija Cafe, located at 8319 Old Branch Ave in Clinton, MD, is making a significant impact in the West African culinary scene. Customers rave about the authentic flavors and comforting dishes that showcase the essence of traditional Nigerian cuisine. Catherine Hinds enthusiastically describes her experience with the Egusi soup and Peppered Goat meat as “beyond good,” highlighting the natural sweetness and well-balanced spices in the Egusi. She emphasizes that Naija Cafe’s Asun rivals other establishments in Maryland, celebrating its deliciously spicy kick. Similarly, Ms. Smith praises the welcoming atmosphere and highlights the comforting quality of dishes like the Cassava with beef and white rice. While many reviews commend the hearty flavors, some diners, like Jaquira Tapscott, feel the Egusi had a bit too much tomato for their taste. However, the well-seasoned Okra soup receives positive mentions across the board. Services like the ability to adjust spice levels cater to diverse palates, making Naija Cafe an inclusive dining experience. With friendly staff and a clean environment, Naija Cafe stands out not just for its food but also for its strong community appeal. For anyone in search of genuine West African flavors, this establishment comes highly recommended, offering a delicious exploration of Nigerian heritage right in Maryland.

So. I placed an order over the phone and then decided to add an order of Asun when I got to the restaurant. I told myself I will just taste my Egusi with Goat meat while waited for the Asun. Listen. I couldn't stop eating. It was so so good. Idk if it's authentic, because I'm not an expert, but what I am an expert in is knowing what taste good. And this food tastes GOODT. The Egusi had a very slight natural and extremely pleasant sweetness and a nice bit of spice. So well flavored. And the goat meat! My GOODNESS. Idk what they do to the meat, but they should never stop. Now, I've had Asun from other places in Maryland and they should be ASHAMED for calling it Asun. Again, idk, but I'm pretty sure, this is very close to authentic, and if it isn't, it should be. It was beyond good. Spicy but good spicy. I couldn't stop eating that either. Anyway. Support this place. I have a picture of the Asun, but the Egusi didn't quite make it.

I just moved to the area and have been looking for authentic African cuisine. This is my second week in a row I have went here. The cashier(Woman) was very welcoming and professional. The music in the restaurant was nice. The location is very clean. Lots of parking thank god that was not an issue. I ordered the “Asun” and my GOD it’s hot but so good. My meal was Cassava/beef with white rice. Everything was perfect. Comfort food is what I call it. I give this place 5 stars. I can’t wait to order the snails. They do make though you don’t see it on the menu. You have to call a week in advance if you want some. I will be placing my order next week.

I have ordered the egusi and okra soup with Eba. It is the only egusi in that part of Maryland so I settle for it but it taste too much like tomatoes and not enough flavor. The okra is very very good. And you receive a great portion for what you pay for.

It's not a eat in spot but they were very nice and helpful. The shop was clean and spacious. Food was great okra soup with goat meat, pounded yam and plantains. If you're not a spicy food person, you can ask them for minimum spice. They can't take it completely out though, that would take away from the flavor of the dish.

Absolutely the best West Africa Nigerian food in Southern Prince George's County!!!! Portion sizes could be larger, but the taste you can't resist.

I especially love the cleanliness of this restaurant. The food is also amazing and I enjoyed the yam porridge greatly. I was in Maryland for Thanksgiving to visit my cousins and they brought me to this restaurant to have a feel of Naija delicacy. The guy that attended to us was very professional and polite. This restaurant is also close to the road and can be easily noticed from a vehicle in normal traffic.
